Nail Your Niche: The First Step to Unlocking Your Digital Product Potential
“Your niche isn’t something you find—it’s something you uncover from the life you’ve already lived." – Michelle Spark
Are you feeling stuck trying to figure out the right niche for your online business? You’re not alone. In fact, this is where so many aspiring digital entrepreneurs freeze—before they ever even get started.
Here’s the truth: nailing your niche is everything.
Without it? You’ll feel like you’re shouting into the void.
But with it? You become unstoppable. 🔥

In this post, I’m going to walk you through a simple 3-step system to help you uncover your niche and build the digital business you’ve been dreaming about. No confusion. No fluff. Just clarity, confidence, and a clear next step.👊
💁♀️ Who’s This For?
Hi, I’m Michelle Spark, also known as the Lady Wealth Warrior—founder of a veteran-owned, veteran-run business that empowers women over 50 to create profitable online businesses with digital products.
If you’ve ever thought:
“I’m too old to start over.”
“There’s already too much competition.”
“I have no idea where to even begin…”
Let me be the one to tell you: you are not behind, and you are NOT too late.
I remember sitting at my kitchen table, sipping tea, feeling that same doubt. But what I didn’t realize back then was that my life experience, passions, and even past challenges were the goldmine I’d been looking for all along. And guess what? So are yours.
Let’s dig in.
Step 1: Find Your Zone of Genius
This is where the magic begins—discovering the sweet spot where your passions, skills, and experiences collide.
Ask yourself:
What could I talk about for hours without getting bored?
What skills have I picked up through my career, hobbies, or just living life?
What challenges have I overcome that could help someone else?
Examples:
Do you love organizing? That’s a niche.
Have you simplified tech for others? Huge win.
Are you a budgeting queen? That’s your lane.
For me? It was teaching and helping women build online businesses—because it took me way too long to figure it out myself. Now I give women like you the shortcuts I never had.
Quick Activity:
Take 5 minutes right now to jot down 3–5 things you’re passionate about, skilled at, or have experience in. These are the foundation of your niche.
Step 2: Identify the Problem You Solve
Here’s the thing: People don’t buy products.
They buy solutions to their problems.
So your niche isn’t just what you love—it’s the problem you solve for others.
Ask yourself:
What do people always come to me for advice about?
What challenges have I already solved that others are still struggling with?
What transformation can I help someone achieve?
Examples:
“I help women declutter their homes so they can finally feel peace and clarity.”
“I help busy moms find time for self-care.”
“I help women over 50 start their first digital product so they can achieve financial freedom.”
Try this fill-in-the-blank formula:
I help [specific group] solve [specific problem] so they can [specific transformation].

Step 3: Validate Your Niche Idea
Before you dive headfirst into your new business, let’s make sure there’s a real market for it. Validation saves you time, energy, and yes—money.
Here’s how to do it:
Test It Online
Ask questions in Facebook groups or on your own social media.
Example: “What’s your biggest struggle with budgeting?” or “Would you be interested in a step-by-step guide to decluttering your space?”
Research the Competition
Check out YouTube, Etsy, Amazon, Instagram.
Are other people selling similar products or services? Great! That means there’s demand.
Survey Your People
Even if you have a tiny audience, ask them directly.
Try a simple poll:
“Which of these do you struggle with most? A) Time management B) Tech overwhelm C) Knowing where to start?”
Look for the 3 C’s:
Clarity: Is your niche clear and specific?
Connection: Do people resonate with it?
Consistency: Are others creating content or products consistently in this space?
Final Thoughts 💜
Let me remind you of something important:
Your age, your background, or how tech-savvy you are does NOT define your success.
What does? Your determination. Your willingness to learn. And your desire to serve.
Women like us are powerhouses of wisdom, and it’s time we used it.
